Kool Thangs Coming Soon!

I finished editing my performance for my Fredfest set on Monday which will premiere on March 9th! I'm really excited to show it to people and I'm excited to see other people's sets. Fredfest is an online music festival for underground artists, where people are allowed to express their creative vision for their set under any medium; live performance, animation, short films, etc. There are so many incredibly creative artists who participate in this and it'll bee live-streamed on YouTube! I've also been putting more XyonnyxX art up for sale on Instagram and I'll be getting more prints made. I realized that $15 might be expensive for posters so I've been lowering prices. I'll start selling clothing either by the end of this month or March. Next week, I'm going to do a music video for one of my XONIKA! songs with two really cool filmmakers I recently met and I'm very excited for that. I went to an open mic place last night but found out when I got there that they no longer do open mic nights, which was a bummer because I was really looking forward to performing last night. I have a week off of school next week, so I'll be looking to perform at multiple open mic spots. Open mic shows have been the best ways for me to build friendships with other artists. The social aspect of music is absolutely the most daunting thing for me, because it's really hard for me to make friends; but it happens more naturally in a setting where I get to express my art to people because I use music to express feelings that I don't know how to release in real life. It's a nice feeling to have someone come up to me and tell me that they appreciate what I do, because I've never had people come up to me to give me a compliment until I started performing music. I'll be performing at the INRCHLD Social show this Saturday night. Thank you for reading!
