The Dawn of XyonnyxX!

Last week, I started an art & clothing brand called XyonnyxX. I'm selling my art work on Instagram and I plan to start designing and selling clothes as well. It's been a dream of mine for a while to start a clothing/art brand, but I've always made the excuse of saying "I can't, because I don't have the money." Nowadays, I don't use money as an excuse to not do something because at the end of the day, everything starts with an idea. I'm using what I have and I'm starting from the ground up, just like I do with music. When I started making music, I didn't know anything about fancy music equipment, musical theory, or anything. I just had a laptop and a horrible USB microphone and I did what I could. I still produce and record everything from my bedroom. You don't need to be rich to make art! So as of right now, I have 1of1 posters of the XONIKA! album cover, the NEGRODIVERGENT! song cover, an alien self-portrait a made and a XONIKA! canvas painting. So far it's been going well; I've sold a BRAINCONSUMER! poster and the XONIKA! album cover that I'll be delivering soon. I plan on making lots more posters, designing clothes, and a friend suggested last week that I should make a giant canvas piece, so I definitely want to do that as well. There are really endless possibilities in-terms of what I could make. I want to design clothes that are gender-neutral and geared towards queer/trans/non-binary people who are into bright colours and patterns mixed with some edgy, grimy elements. My long-term goal as that I will open pop-up shops full of everything I design and also perform songs in the shop. I'll be performing at the next INRCHLD show on February 24th and I'll be bringing some art with me. I plan on designing my first crop top this weekend, so I'll bring that if it turns out any good. Also, I had an insanely fun time creating a digital performance of XONIKA! songs filmed by a friend on Monday for the next Fredfest show, which is an annual online music festival that I'm excited to be part of. I want to do as many shows as possible this year! I also have music video plans lined up for a couple more songs from the album. Follow @XyonnyxX on Instagram! Thank you for reading.
